Brian Martinez

Brian Martinez is a Grand County Commissioner based in Moab, Utah, and
a 20-year veteran of the Colorado River as a river guide and
outfitter. His firsthand experience on the water gives him a deep
understanding of the river's ecological significance and the
communities that depend on it. As a commissioner, Brian has been a
consistent advocate and voice in regional and statewide conversations,
including negotiations around the Colorado River's interim guidelines.
He brings both a practical and collaborative approach to the complex
challenges facing the river and the communities across the West that
rely on it.
As a longtime Moab resident, Brian's love for the outdoors extends
beyond the river. He and his family enjoy mountain biking and dirt
biking through the iconic landscapes that make Grand County one of the
most sought after outdoor destinations in Utah and the country.
